Chrysalis

Yeah, I don't draw ponies, lol. I draw humanoid versions of them. Chrys isn't a pony to me anyway. She's....some kind of...vampiric monster.

And I don't like how she's portrayed in the show, it's too cliche. In every kid's cartoon, the villain's always evil for the sake of being evil and...their main goal in life is to TAKE OVER THE WOOORRLLD! I like that Chrysalis was a little more in depth than that, but she was still portrayed as...evil.

It'd be much more interesting and challenging to portray an antagonist as something different once in a while. In Chrys's case in particular, instead of her being portrayed as evil, you could portray her as a different species of pony that's very vampiric in nature. She feeds off of your emotions, namely love, because it's the strongest apparently. And the stronger emotions are full of delicious fatty acids! Lol. Anyways, bottom line, I would love to see Chrysalis and her horde portrayed not as villains who are there just to be villains...but antagonists rather, which to me, is different.

And as such, you could depict them in a more complicated way. All they are essentially, without all the eeeevvilllll...are just...mysterious creatures who are just trying to survive. They're predatory, yeah, but....shoot, predators have to eat, too, am I right?
That's all she was essentially doing in the show, anyway. But they had to go and make her eeeeevvviiill.



She reminds me of the mermaid from She Creature, lol. She was scary! And even though she turned into a hideous monster that ate everyone on the ship minus one woman she felt particularly friendly towards...all she was doing in the end was providing food for her lair of other mermaids. She was the 'queen' mermaid. And Chrysalis is the 'queen'....whatever she is, lmao. Changling, lol.
